Our base studio consists of several Tascam decks, 8,  12 and  24 Tracks. Decks export files as standard  WAVs. Decks also produce masters suitable for publication.

For live sound, there's an 8 channel Behringer mixer and two 300-watt Behringer Eurolive B108 powered speakers. The studio is equipped with an array of Fender (and some Roland JazzChorus's) amplifiers and personal monitors. Although monmitors are rarely needed.

The studio also has a Yamaha Digital piano with a weighted keyboard as well as several synthesizers (Yahmaha CX series & a Juno DS).

There's a full custom Jazz drum kit and a full LP set. The studio has all sorts of high quality acoustic and electric guitars from standard 6-string and 12-strings to slides and basses including an Ibanez upright. A Deering Banjo & a Kala Baritone Uke. There are several wireless rigs available as well.

The studio has a wide a variety of microphones ranging from Shure professional series to Sennheiser's, AKG's, and Audio-technica's.

It's a  midsize studio that can accommodate
5-7 musicians and is set up for members to play in an arch facing each other in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. There's also room for about a 12 spectators.

TwisStudios is an association of  musicians from New York's Hudson Valley. Our goal is to Prepare, Practice and Produce both covers of popular songs - but with a twisst.

And we also publish original material (see About page) .

Recording sessions vary in number and the length. A pre-session conference is usually where we start to determine the song to be recorded, the musicians involved and the date(s) required. This is usually done by phone, text or email.

Once these factors are determined, we plot out the session(s). Sessions usually last up to 4 hours. Depending on how well this first session goes, subsequent ones are scheduled. As the producer I usually like to hold at least one follow-up session. Others are arranged as needed.
The rate for sessions is $50/hour. Musicians travelling more that 25 miles to the studio get an extra $25 for expenses.

As producer I do the final mixdown, but I will always ask the players their opinions and then incorporate them with my own.
